Choir / Cantor Programs

All St. Mary Magdalen students are encouraged to join and participate in the school choir which sings at our weekly school Masses.  The choir is directed by Ms. Zandbergen, our music teacher. Rehearsals take place during the regular school day at lunch.  

 

Advanced singers are also encouraged to join the Cantor Program. Cantors are trained to lead the congregation through the parts of the Mass as well as songs and psalms.  Cantors work with Ms. Zandbergen and are expected to demonstrate mastery of the music as well as the ability to lead with a strong voice. 

 

Students are also invited to participate as members of the St. Mary Magdalen Children's Choir which regularly sings at Sunday Masses for St. Mary Magdalen Parish.  For more information about the Children's Choir, please contact the church parish office at 805-484-0532.
