Principal's Message

“From the first moment that a student sets foot in a Catholic school,
he or she ought to have the impression of entering a new environment,
one illuminated by the light of faith, and having its own unique characteristics.”
-- The Religious Dimensions of Education in a Catholic School

With these words from the Congregation for Catholic Education, I would like to welcome you and your family to St. Mary Magdalen School. Serving the Camarillo and surrounding communities since 1954, we are a landmark of faith, character, and academic excellence.

St. Mary Magdalen provides students with an environment of learning that is rooted in the Gospel values. Our strong academic program prepares students with the tools and skills to be successful in a college preparatory high school. Our highly motivated and qualified teachers understand that every student is different and will see your student as an individual with unique strengths and needs. In addition to this differentiated instruction, we also offer an extended school year of 190 days to promote your student’s growth of mind, body, and spirit.

Another and perhaps even more important hallmark that sets St. Mary Magdalen apart is our strong Catholic identity. Our school environment instills in our students a faith that is active and engaged on a daily basis. Provided with opportunities to live their faith through service learning projects and class reflections as well as daily interaction with the Gospel values, St. Mary Magdalen graduates understand fully their responsibilities as disciples of Christ.

While a Catholic school education at St. Mary Magdalen is a sacrifice of time and finances, it is also the single best investment you can make in the lives of your children. You can give them the gift of the skills and moral compass needed to be successful individuals and more importantly make a difference in the world.
