Landmark
of Faith, Character & Academic Excellence
At
St. Mary Magdalen School, we promote a strong Catholic identity coupled with strong academics are the
hallmark of Catholic education. While strong academics does not
take much clarification, it is important to remember that our goal
is to provide every student with the tools and skills to be
successful in a college preparatory high school setting.
Here
at Saint Mary Magdalen, we not only study the traditions and
history of our faith but we carry this learning forward and
practice what we have learned. We create a school environment that
is conducive to making our faith a living conscious and active
experience. It is in the end our faith that carries us through the
valleys and mountains of life and gives us perspective. Living our
faith takes us beyond ourselves in that it teaches us to reach out
to others who may appear as less fortunate. It empties us of
ourselves.
While
this education is a cost of time and finances, it is an investment
for the future of the community as well as the world.
We can rest well knowing that we have done our best to
provide our children with a moral compass and that they are
capable of making a difference in our global world.
St.
Mary Magdalen's Catholic School is accredited by the Western
Catholic Educational Association (WCEA). WCEA accredits
Catholic elementary and secondary schools in nine western states
(26 (arch) dioceses) and the US Territory of Guam. WCEA
co-accredits and is in partnership with three Regional agencies
(WASC, NAAS, NCA CASI) and two private agencies (CAIS and HAIS).
WCEA began in 1957 in San Francisco and has a long and
successful history of assisting school improvement through the
accreditation process.
